GOWAN'S GIRL

Well, Gowan has struck gold again! Yes, Lawrence Gowan, Canadian hitmaker from the 80's and 90's, of A Criminal Mind, and You're A Strange Animal fame, has made a huge musical resurgence, at least with one member of my family when he sang, via video, Happy Birthday to my eldest daughter Maeve.

AND A KITCHEN SINK IN A SPRUCE TREE

“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” -Friedrich Nietszche

To the untrained eye, it may look like I picked up a bunch of random objects just laying around my yard, and hurled them haphazardly at the imposing Blue Spruce situated beside my house.

ROLLING DOWN MEMORY LANE

Looking back on my previous blog posts, I realize I write a lot of stuff about stuff.

the gauntlet would be thrown and my brothers Danny and Kevin would begin fisticuffing right in the middle of my teaching lesson with my imaginary, but still somehow awful students.

WELCOME TO THE INAUGURAL POST OF SIT AND DELIVER

Essentially this blog will deliver stand-up material from a sitting position.  You may ask, "Why sit and deliver?"  I would answer,  "Why stand and deliver when the option to sit and deliver is so readily available?"

Frankly, I'm surprised this phenomenon hasn't swept the entire industry. The sit-down humorist enjoys many advantages over the stand-up. One of the most obvious is the comfort factor.  Having led a full and rich life I have had many opportunities to both sit and stand.
